About Irfan Kiani.
Music producer and multi-instrumentalist. Producer on albums, singles, and soundtracks.
Background
From a Gakhar family in Rawalpindi to a working production studio.
Irfan Kiani grew up in Rawalpindi in a musical household — the son of poet Khawar Kiani and older brother of one of Pakistan's most recognized singers, Hadiqa Kiani. Music has been central to the family for as long as anyone can remember.
He went on to establish himself as one of Pakistan's established music producers, with a particular reputation for productions that bring together contemporary pop and traditional folk or Sufi instrumentation — sarangi, harmonium, sarod, and baghlama.
He runs Hadiqa & Irfan Kiani Studios with his daughter, Eva Kiani, who handles mixing, mastering, and co-production on most releases.

Working approach
Live, unhurried, considered.
Irfan Kiani is known for a live-in-the-room approach to recording. His qawwali productions are captured without click tracks or auto-tune, with multiple musicians often performing in a single take.
That ethos carries through the studio's work generally: clean recording, considered arrangements, and a willingness to let rare instruments find their place in modern productions — including the sarangi in Jaanay Iss Dil, where the instrument's microtones complement the human voice in a way few modern qawwali recordings attempt.
